Biography: Serenay Sarikaya was born on 1 July 1992 in Ankara. She lived in Antalya for a while together with her parents. Her parents got divorced when she was 7 years old and she started living together with her mother after her father made another marriage. Serenay Sarikaya grew up without her father and said in an interview, “It is a big deal to raise a girl without a father, especially when the father factor is so important in the developmental stage.” Serenay Sarikaya completed her high school education in Antalya Saime Salih Konca High School and wanted to complete her university education abroad, but she could not receive a university education. She played volleyball for a long time and was interested in basketball for a while. She also played tennis for a while and was also interested in Latin dances before her television career. Serenay Sarikaya participated in the European Junior Beauty Contest held in the Czech Republic at the age of 15 and she started her acting career after receiving the special jury award in the competition.
