Synopsis

Bahar (Demet Evgar) is a full-time housewife who does anything for her family. She quits her career as a doctor and sacrifices her life to take care of her family. After getting married, Bahar takes care of her father-in-law and later, she takes care of her children.

Bahar is married to Timur (Mehmet Yilmaz Ak) who is a surgeon at a university hospital. Bahar and Timur go to the same medical school. After they get married, Bahar quits her career and takes care of everything in the house whereas Timur focuses on his career and becomes a successful medical doctor just like his father.

Even though Bahar tries her best to please her family, she often fails to get recognition. She gives up her career as a doctor during her medical resident years after getting married to Timur and becomes a full-time housewife for 20 years. She gives up her cheerfulness and even limits her laugh so as not to disturb her husband.

Bahar loves what she does for her family, but unfortunately, she cannot get love and importance from the other side. She always supports her husband and her children but she suffers from humiliation, disrespect, and contempt.

Bahar is forced to face the true faces of her husband Timur and mother-in-law Nevra (Hatice Aslan) along with her sudden health problem. All of a sudden, she learns that she has a big problem with her liver. She urgently needs surgery and a liver transplant.

With Bahar’s illness, Doctor Evren (Bugra Gulsoy) enters her life. Evren is a young and successful surgeon. He is an independent and free-spirited young guy who lives on his yacht and does not want to be tied down somewhere. Evren has been raised by his adopted parents. Evren knows Timur’s family from his childhood and for this reason, he does not have good feelings about him.

Evren supports Bahar on every occasion and tries to save her life. After seeing the selfishness of Timur, he would like to support Bahar more.

Bahar needs to have a liver transplant immediately. Out of pure coincidence, her husband turns out to be compatible for a liver transplant. However, Timur does not want to have this surgery for the sake of her wife. Even though he knows that his wife will die, Timur decides not to do anything. Bahar and her children are devastated by Timur’s approach.

Out of pure coincidence, the hospital finds another donor for Bahar. Bahar eventually survives this unexpected crisis and decides to live for herself. After twenty years, she decides to return to her medical career. Bahar starts to work at the same hospital together with her husband Timur, her son Aziz Uras, her friend Evren, and Timur’s first love Rengin.

Bahar Yavuzoglu (Demet Evgar):

Bahar is the wife of Timur and the mother of Aziz Uras and Umay. She has been a full-time housewife even though she graduated from medical school. Bahar returns to her medical career after being a housewife for 20 years. She is cheerful and naïve. She sacrifices her career and her life for the sake of her family.

Evren Yalkin (Bugra Gulsoy):

Evren is a young and handsome surgeon. He performs Bahar’s surgery. After that, he becomes a good and supportive friend to her. Evren is an independent and free-spirited young guy. He lives on his yacht and does not want to be tied down somewhere. He is adopted by a wealthy family and becomes successful thanks to his adopted parents.

Timur Yavuzoglu (Mehmet Yilmaz Ak):

Timur is a perfectionist surgeon at a university hospital. He is married to Bahar but at the same time, he has a love affair with Rengin. Timur was in love with Rengin when he was going to medical school but he broke up with her after Rengin decided to move to the United States. Years later, Timur starts to work together with Rengin at the same hospital and develops feelings toward her.

Rengin Cevik (Ecem Ozkaya):

Rengin is Timur’s first love and is the mother of Parla. Her daughter Parla is Timur’s illegitimate daughter. Rengin raises her daughter by herself without informing Timur and lives in the United States for a long time. After returning to Turkey, she starts to have a love affair with Timur. She has been in an affair with Timur for 3 years with the hope of getting married.

Aziz Uras Yavuzoglu (Demirhan Demircioglu):

Aziz Uras is the son of Bahar and Timur. He is a doctor and works at the hospital together with his father. He is in love with Seren.

Umay Yavuzoglu (Alisa Sezen Sever):

Umay is the daughter of Bahar and Timur.

Nevra Yavuzoglu (Hatice Aslan):

Nevra is the mother of Timur. She lives in the same house with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She is a woman who cares about her physical appearance.
