Biography: Buse Meral was born on July 25, 1999 in Istanbul. She had acting experience at an early age. She completed her high school education at Marshal Fevzi Cakmak Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Eyup Sultan district of Istanbul. Buse Meral started her acting career when she was 19 years old and she made her debut with a tv series Ege’nin Hamsisi. She also took part in various commercials. Apart from acting, she has many hobbies such as playing the guitar, ukulele, and harmonica.

From the interview with Buse Meral
Who is Buse Meral, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? How did your journey evolve into acting?
I have a small world. A few friends with whom I really enjoy spending time, my dog ‘Shiva’ with whom I share my life, and my instruments that I love to spend time with are very valuable to me. If I need to give some information about myself, I am indispensable. We can say that it is my personal space that I believe constantly moves me forward.
How do you work into your role? Do you have any habits that you describe as 'totems' on set or in your daily life?
I don’t know how I work in my role. In fact, when you read a role, it starts to come to life in your head like a seed. I read and research as much as I can make a dramaturgical analysis of my character. Then, in the meetings with the director and producer, we determine what kind of character is needed and work on those points. No, I don’t have a totem. I live without a plan, I am spontaneous in my activities outside of my work life.
From what I've seen on social media, you play instruments such as guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and you paint. How does being so intertwined with every branch of art nourish you?
I love my life in general, the way music feeds me, and I like to spend time with musical instruments like a toy. I remember, live, and repeat my feelings with music. I’m a bit of an emotional person. Painting, on the other hand, is a completely different therapy… I can say that I rest my soul, find calmness, and peace with painting.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Excited, clumsy, proud.
What is your plan for the future of your career?
I will embrace my career and do whatever it takes to improve myself in every sense. I don’t have one plan, I have many plans. Acting in an art film, for example, is one of my plans. I can act as a musician in one of my projects. ‘Sound of Metal’ and ‘CODA’ films influenced me a lot.
Do you have a philosophy of life?
Work, work, work and never say I am done, always learn a new one, never waste your time in vain, always fit something. Travel, see, and have fun with your loved ones…
What would you be missing if you didn't have it in your closet?
I always have white T-Shirts in my closet. It can be combined with sports, classic, everyday everything. My comfortable jeans are a must-have.
Your horoscope is Leo Do you have the characteristics?
Yes, I have some features, I think the feature I get the most is pride. I’m too proud and stubborn. As another feature, I am a planner and I like to organize.
Is there a book you can't put down and a movie you don't get tired of watching? What advice would you give to those who want to watch it?
A book that is a lesson for me (Stefan Zweig / Fear) is my bedside book. The movie that I will not get tired of watching is the first thing that comes to my mind (The Notebook) every time it is turned on, I watch it with the same emotionality as if I am watching it for the first time. There are two other films that I’m very impressed with. (Vanilla Sky and Interstellar) are very beautiful
Do you have any other talents that we don't know about?
I love every branch of art, I always watch and follow it with admiration. Again, I play beautiful instruments such as guitar, ukulele, harmonica because it helps my acting, and painting is one of my biggest hobbies.
How did you get introduced to acting?
I think I introduced myself to acting… There was no one around me who could help me, who had done this job before, so it is even more valuable for me to do this profession. I worked and built it from the beginning to the end.
